Lecture theme:
Update on Dental 3d Printing- Connecting the Dots
Digital Dentistry and 3D printing has changed dentistry forever. By leveraging technology dentists are now able to provide treatment more efficiently and profitably. This presentation will outline the use of digital data acquisition, planning, design and fabrication of dental prosthesis using additive manufacturing. The paradigm shift of bringing fabrication back into the clinical practice will allow any practice no matter the size to take advantage of technology to benefit patients. The use of connected ecosystems will allow dentists to access quality design services anywhere in the world. Geography is no longer an obstacle to providing high quality dentistry in a timely manner. All that is left is for dentists to connect the dots.
Objectives
– Identify which aspects of your clinic can benefit through digitilization
– Identify which data acquisition systems are necessary depending on the procedure or desired appliance to be fabricated
– What to look for in technology?
– Is your practice ready for additive manufacturing?
– Efficiency vs cost
– How to get started or expand your current lineup of digitally assisted services
